As I wrote before I had the possibility to see one Czech ODA project. The whole official name is like this - Monitoring of alpine glacial lakes and protection of population against the catastrophical consequences of floods caused by destruction of moraine barrages. I was in the region close to Bishkek where the lake of Adigyne glacier is being monitored as well as the river valley below this lake. We climbed to 3700 m with the other workers of the projects. There is a small meteorological station and small house used for the research there. The climbing was kind of little bit demanding especially when my knee started to hurt - yes a very worthy PE student. I stayed finally 3 days with the project group and I also helped a little bit when doing measurements in the valley - well, my geographical studies were useful :-) So, once more thanks to all people from Geomin, Faculty of Science of Charles University and local workers:-) You can see mainly pictures of mountains, lakes, and glacier in the next link, ENJOY as I did!!!http://picasaweb.google.com/simsonka224/VHorachUBiskeku
