PAREMPI konference / PAREMPI conference

Simona speaking about her role in the project and about what she exactly does .
English version below.
Nase pripravne schuzky opravdu stoji za to:-) PAREMPI se snazi prispet ke zviditelneni Corporate Social Responsibility (znate nekdo cesky preklad?) a spolupraci mezi podniky a NGOs. Jde nam o to, aby podniky v ramci sve Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) podporovali svoji komunitu a prispivali k jejimu rozvoji. Takze se snazime spojovat podniky, ktere chteji rozvijet svou Corporate Social Responsibility, ktere chteji podporovat mistni NGO a zaroven sirime myslenku CSR.
Pozvali jsme mistni dulezite osoby a taky NGOs. Takze dal muzete videt par fotecek z konference.........

Alejandro - president mistni pobocky AIESEC - fajny chlapik :-)
Alejandro - AIESEC Local Committee president - nice guy, speaking about AIESEC

Dulezite mistni osobnosti nam rozjeli panelovou diskusi.
Important personalities in a panel discussion.

Studetni UGM (Univerzita Mexickeho zalivu) v publiku.
UGM (University of Mexican Gulf) students as an active audience.

Ja a Sheryl z Kolumbie
Me and Sheryl from Colombia
Now couple of words about the project I have been working for.
The project is called PAREMPI what means BETTER in Finnish. And what we would like to do? Easy – just to better the situation in our society – Cordoba community :-) And how does it look like in the reality?
There are three different parts united in this project – students (me and other trainees), enterprises and NGOs. We are here 4 trainees from abroad taking part in PAREMPI (Sheryl and Stephanie from Colombia, Christoph from Austria and me) and we form an incredible international team :-) PAREMPI’s aim is raising awareness about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and fostering of cooperation between enterprises and local NGOs through CSR. We want the people and especially the enterprises to be more responsible with our environment, with the society, with their employees and to contribute to the development of the community. It means that we try to promote CSR and establish the connections between local enterprises and NGOs to be able to cooperate. Is it clear like this? I hope that at least a bit :-)
And what do I do exactly? I try to organize the whole project and in the same time I work with kids in two NGO (an orphanage and an institution for children with mental disabilities). Besides I teach languages to the students of AIESEC. There is a link for PAREMPI project in the right side – for the moment only in Spanish but I‘ve been working on the translation.
Last week (15th November) we organized a small conference where we tried to promote our project and CSR. Below you can see some pictures………

Na vylete v Pueble / My visit in Puebla
Well I decided to visit some friends in Puebla - city about 200 km from Cordoba. I know there two girls (nice friends of mine). I met them last year in Lleida and I wanted to see them again. I spent in Puebla finally 3 days visiting the center and also a small village called Cholula just really close to the city. The Puebla center is very colonial and if you are just walking around it doesnt seem to you to be in Mexico. And what's really amazing - from Puebla (if you are lucky with the weather and I WAS) it is posible to see all the tallest mountains and volcanos :-) Just enjoy it also!!! But in the reality it is more exciting!!!

Centrum Puebly - kolonialni, moc se mi libilo. Je na seznamu UNESCO.
Puebla city center - I really like it. It' s also a part of UNESCO world heritage list.

Na pozdnim obede s (zleva) Paty, jeji maminkou a Tai. Ja jsem jedla nejakou rybu s cesnekem. Mooc dobry, hlavne ze tam nebylo chili.
Having luchn with (from the left side) Paty, her mother and Tai. I' ve eaten king of fish with garlic. I liked it also because it had no chili :-)

Jeho velicenstvo Popocatepetl (vlevo) a Iztaccíhuatl
Its Majesty the volcano Popocatepetl and Iztaccíhuatl.

These are grasshoppers - realy you can trust me - they cook them, dry them, fry them and they put chili on and it was tasty!!!! and just near by they were others jumping in the grass.........

¨Dusicky¨ / The Day of The Death / Dia de los muertos
Takze tady vam ted nabizim nekolik fotek s ofrendama :-)
Well my dear English speaking friends:-) I' ve seen in Mexico the Days of the Deaths. It was really great, everywhere there were ofrendas - kind of presents for the deaths. Each family prepares something like this for its deaths and also at schools there make ofrendas and they compete who has the best one. Here yu can see some picture with ofrendas :-)

At home - ofrenda for grandmother and grandfather

Takhle nastrojene jsou schody palace v centru Cordoby.
Palace stairs in the center of Cordoba.

In Puebla - I visited this city during the Days of the Deaths.
Vsude behem Dne mrtvych muzete videt, kostry a lebky. Lidi si ze smrti proste delaji srandu.
A vubec to nevypada strasidelne.

Takze babicka Montse mela 82 roku, no a mela 14 deti, takze si dokazete predstavit jak asi vypadala takova mexicka oslava!!!
You could have read before who I live with. Now I' ve got for you some news and pictures from my Mexican family. Montse's grandmother celebrated her 82nd birthday. She has 14 children!!! just imagine how big the family is!!! and we had birthday party On Sunday. Almost all the family was united to celebrate. I was the only white person there - big attraction!!!
But I really enjoyed it and I was dancing a lot (as you can see below)
Tady jsem s pani Jose a Montse. S nimi momentalne bydlim. Mexicani jsou fakt obecne mensi:-)
Here I' m with Mrs. Jose and Montse. I've lived with them since my arrival. As you can see the Mexicans are generally smaller:-)

It' s me dancing with Benjamin :-)

mexicka svatba / Mexican wedding
Meli jsme jidlo asi o 4 chodech a me to teda mooooc chutnalo. Nevesta taky hazela kytici (ne
Jeden zvyk za vsechny dalsi: Nevestu a zenicha drzeli nad vsemi ostatnimi a zenich drzel neveste zavoj, takze se vytvorila jakasi brana. No a nejprve tancili vsechny zenske a probihaly branou a pak zase chlapi.
No a dalsi uvidite na fotkach.
Well, as s foreigner I was invited to a Mexican wedding. It means that I have seen it all and now I can share my experience with you!!! :-)
I was like in a faire tale. The wedding was held in a place prepared for such kind of events. There was something like a small chateau with a big grass area and some horses,.... Everything started at 8 p.m. it was night and the athmosphere was really great.
Weddings in Mexico are really big events. This time there were 300 invited (me too:-). We had
One habit for all the others (I'm not able to write everything): the groom and the bride were taken by the others and they kept them separately. The groom had to held the veil and like this they created a small port. Then all the women were dancing and passing the gate and after all the men :-)
Enjoy the pictures!!!

Jak mi nebylo dobre:-) When I wasn't fine:-)
NO a starali se o me jako o vlastni:-) DIIIKY.
Well I have to say that now I' m quite OK!!! I have no problem!!! You don' t need to worry about me. But it wasn't like this las week I really wasnt fine.... finally I don' t know what was wrong with me and I dont want to know it anymore:-). I was very tired, all my body hurt and I wanted to sleep all the time. they scared me that it was dengue fever......and even by saying this word my temperature increased..... I had the fever all the time and it was increasing and decreasing and increasing and decreasing......But here it is quite normal to have the dengue fever and now in this period there are many people just having it. Just you have to stay in bed and wait - no other possibility:-( But I didn' t have dengue fever I went to a doctor and they made me some blood tests and everything was negative. well I had more something from the meal here as another doctor told me. finally I survived!!!

Vzpominky z Mexico City / memories from Mexico City
v baru v Mexiko City - hrali nam Mariachis - typicka mexicka muzika
in the bar in Mexico City - mariachis played for us - a typical mexican music
porad jeste v baru s prateli (Katya a Sylvia), jen chybi Lu a Magin....
still in the bar with my friends (Katya and Syliva) only Lu and Magin are missing..... THANKS for your help and everything!!! See you soon my half-month roomies!!!
kamaradka Katya (uprostred) se svymi sestrami Karen a Karinou
beautiful family Ocampo Campos..... Thanx for receiving me
Moje mexicka rodina / my mexican family
a s kym teda bydlim?
Dona Jose - maminka od rodiny, Montse a Pancho - dva sourozenci, kteri me berou naprosto fpoho a rozumime si.
Montse studuje turismus a Pancho nejake inzenyrstvi. Tos kazdy at si mysli co chce.
Fotky prijdou taky!!!!
Something about the family I live with:-) well I have to say that I feel very well with them. They have got a small house (it could be as big as our flat in Olomouc) but i has a ground floor and first floor. With me we are 4 all together. Heyyyy I' ve almost forgotten the dog. His name is Puccini, it' s small and nice. We are not allowed to drink the tapped watter. It' s bought in a big barrels of 18 liters. We have a TV but I dont watch it very often. All the houses are very small and close to each other and that' s why everything could be heard and all the neighbourghs know each other very well. Also the kids from neighbourghood know me and shout on me all the time:-)
well, who do I live with?
dona Jose - mother of the family, Montse y Pancho - brother and sister and I get along with them very well. Dona Jose doesnt work now, she takes care of the household. Their father hase been working for 5 years in USA. There was no possibility to find work for him in Mexico. All the Sundays he calls home, once I spoke to him also:-) shit, why there are people who has to live really faraway from his/her family just because of earning money? There is something wrong.............:-(
Montse has been studying tourism and Pancho kind of ingeneering. But the system here is a bit different and I has been trying to understand it. Montse studies at a private University of
Gulf of Mexico. she has the classes each afternoon from 2 to 9 p.m. All the classes are obligatory and if they don't come they have to apologize in advance and they have to put on a uniform. Sometimes they are also said to wear a skirt............and if they dont wear it they ar not allowed to enter the school............ well it' s not like this at all universities. For example Pancho studies at a public school and they dont have to put on uniform. He has his classes in the morning but also for a log time.

dona Jose - mother of the family, Montse y Pancho - brother and sister and I get along with them very well.
Zivot v Cordobe / Life in Cordoba
Teda někdo to ví a někdo ne.
(no, že bych tu zůstala??????????)
Well I havent told you that I will stay here in Mexico till the end of January. Maybe some of you know but the others dont. Then I have to go back or haven´t I?
Some notes from my life in Cordoba. The city is as big as my lovely Olomouc, everything is green here and there are mountains all around and one volcanooooo as you could see in other part of this blog. I hope to climb it!!!!............... I dont live in the city center but in the district called San Román – like 15 minutes by bus from the center. I´ve learnt how to use local public transport and I buy all the time the student tickets J All the people think here that I´m more younger than in the reality............(just thinking about staying in Mexicooooo??????????)
The streets dont have any names, only numbers and they are perpendicular. Good guide to orientate myself. Bus stops almost everywhere you need it´s enough to make a sign. And there are no timetables, but the bus circulation is really very frequent.

A jak to vypada v Cordobe? How does it look like in Cordoba?
Proc v Mexiku? Why in Mexico?
Takze, mela bych tu vyucovat jazyky (francouzstinu a anglictinu) prave lidi z AIESECu, pak takz pracovat s detmi z detskeho domova a jednoho ustavu pro mentalne postizene. Tos chtela bych s nima delat trochu te telesne vychovy, jestli to pujde.
I think I should explain you why I'm here, don't you think?
Well I’m here thanks to AIESEC (http://www.aiesec.net/). It‘s a big international students net that offers many possibilities to do some practice session abroad – all around the world. That’s the reason why I’m here – I do here kind of practice. I still need it :-)
Well, I‘ ve chosen Mexico because you know why............. I liked the description of the project and I like Mexican people........... because I’ve met a lot af them last year in Spain and because of them I wanted to discover the Latin Americaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Well I‘ m just here and discovering all the time!!!
I should teach the languages here (French and English), work with kids from an orphanage and with kids with mental disabilities and with other foreigners we are supoosed to work on a project called PAREMPI. It‘ s aims is to increase the social responsibility. That‘ s why we’ll try to organise kind of workshops and conferences about this topic:-)
Well everything is still going to start. I try to get to know the place, the people and just look all around and enjoy the time here in Mexicoooooooooo............:-)

Tos, toto je Mexico City........ obrovskeeeee
This is how Mexico City looks like......
This is actually in Cordoba (Veracruz) - the volcano of Pico de Orizaba (also called Citlaltepetl in the nahuatl language) - the biggest mountain in Mexico.
Hola z Mexika / Hola from Mexicoooooo
Pratele, kamaradi
Tot me prvni kroky na mexicke pude.
Cekali me pratele a uz mam za sebou prvni projizdky nocnim Mexico City, taky navstevu Teotihuacanu, muzea Antropogie (uzasne) a domu Fridy Kahlo.............Ti lidi jsou uzasni, vsechno zorganizovali a ja se nemusela o nic starat – uplne mi to vyhovovalo.
Dear fiends all around the world!!!
I’ ve also decided to create a blog just for you to be able to join my steps in Latin America and to know what I’ m actually doing and how I feel and what is going on...
Well, after couple of days hard workingJ in the Czech Republic (organising the Days Against the Poverty and finishing my studies – YEAH finally I finished – I’ m happy to have my Master!!!) I left for Mexicoooooo. Maybe to have a rest? No, no, no ... really imposible. At the airport they checked all my luggage, they found all the bottles of alcohol I had and finally I could enter the country with all my Czech beers and other bottles. Why did they check me? These were my very first steps in Mexicoooo.
My Mexican friends were waitnig for me. I did my first night sightseeing from the car, I visited the Teotihuacan, National Anthropology Museum and Museum of Frida Kahlo........... My friends are incredible, they organised everything for me and I just enjoyed it..............:-)
